What you are looking for is not a grant. That’s just not what grants are. There are scores of fraud artists who are advertising these imaginary grants, but the only people who are going to make money from these “grants” are the criminals behind the scam.

If you need to confirm this for yourself, you can visit the federal government’s grant gateway. You’ll find it here: http://grants.gov

Click on “About grants.gov” when you get to that page (look on the left), then click on “Who is eligible for a grant?”, right there in the middle of the page.

If you look at the very first line, you’ll see: “ATTENTION! Grants.gov does not offer money for personal financial assistance or debt.”

Just below that you’ll see: “We have all seen them; late night infomercials, websites, and reference guides, advertising “millions in free money” Don’t believe the hype! Although there are many grants on Grants.gov, few of them are available to individuals and none of them are available for personal financial assistance.”

The government DOES offer lots of assistance to people in dire financial need – but the programs just aren’t called “grants” – they’re called “benefits”. You’ve heard of some of the biggest benefits programs, things like VA assistance, Social Security, Food Stamps and Medicare, but there are many others.

As for why faith based, any government run program will be worse then a small local non-profit that is closer to their local community’s needs. It does not need to be faith base, other grants to local charities have proved more successful as well.
